Shipping and Delivery Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how payments, order processing, packaging, dispatch, delivery, customs charges, transport damage and delivery disputes are handled through the AutoScandi marketplace.
By contacting a Seller, placing an order or purchasing a product listed on AutoScandi, the Buyer accepts this policy together with the terms provided by the relevant Seller and all mandatory legal rights.
AutoScandi marketplace role
AutoScandi operates an online marketplace where independent Sellers and suppliers may advertise and sell automotive parts and related products.
Unless AutoScandi is expressly identified as the Seller for a particular product, the sales contract is concluded directly between the Buyer and the independent Seller or supplier.
AutoScandi does not own, manufacture, import, store, package, inspect, dispatch or transport products listed by independent Sellers.
The Seller is responsible for accepting the order, supplying the product, arranging delivery and fulfilling all obligations arising from the transaction.
Direct payments to Sellers
All product payments are made directly by the Buyer to the relevant Seller or supplier.
AutoScandi does not receive, collect, hold, safeguard, transfer or control payments made for products sold by independent Sellers.
AutoScandi is not a bank, payment institution, escrow service, payment guarantor or financial intermediary.
Before sending payment, the Buyer must verify the identity of the Seller, the product description, part number, final price, payment currency, delivery cost, payment details, warranty conditions and return terms.
Payment made directly to a Seller does not create any payment, refund or product warranty obligation for AutoScandi.
No escrow or payment guarantee
AutoScandi does not provide an escrow service, payment protection programme, chargeback guarantee or reimbursement guarantee unless this is expressly stated for a particular transaction.
AutoScandi does not guarantee that a Seller will accept an order, dispatch a product, deliver it by a particular date, confirm vehicle compatibility or voluntarily issue a refund.
The Buyer is responsible for selecting a payment method that provides an appropriate level of protection.
Seller payment responsibility
The Seller is responsible for providing correct payment instructions, confirming receipt of payment, issuing an invoice where required, declaring applicable taxes and returning money where required by law or the sales contract.
Payment disputes must first be addressed directly to the Seller and, where applicable, the bank or payment provider used for the transaction.
Payments arranged outside AutoScandi
Communication and payment between a Buyer and Seller may continue through email, telephone, messaging applications, invoices, bank transfers or independent payment services.
Payments arranged directly between users remain transactions between the Buyer and Seller.
AutoScandi is not responsible for incorrect payment details, fraudulent payment instructions, transfers to the wrong account, payments made to unidentified third parties, bank fees, exchange-rate losses or decisions made by banks and payment providers.
Fraud prevention
The Buyer should not make payment when the Seller identity, product ownership, invoice, price or payment details appear inconsistent or suspicious.
Before making a significant payment, the Buyer should independently verify the Seller and request current product photographs, part numbers, serial numbers, business details or proof of ownership where appropriate.
Suspected fraud, account compromise or deceptive payment instructions should be reported through the AutoScandi contact form.
AutoScandi may restrict a listing or account and cooperate with competent authorities, but does not guarantee recovery of funds transferred directly to a Seller.
Order confirmation
A product listing may constitute an invitation to submit an enquiry or order rather than a legally binding offer.
A sales contract is formed directly between the Buyer and Seller when the Seller accepts the order or otherwise confirms the transaction.
Before accepting payment, the Seller should confirm product availability, product condition, the exact part number, the final price, delivery cost, destination address, expected dispatch time and delivery method.
AutoScandi is not responsible if a Seller rejects, cancels or fails to fulfil an order.
Product availability
Products may be offered through several sales channels and may become unavailable before an order is accepted.
The Seller is responsible for maintaining accurate availability information and confirming stock before accepting payment.
If a paid product is unavailable, the Seller is responsible for offering an alternative or issuing any refund required by law or the sales contract.
Shipping arrangements
Shipping is arranged by the Seller, supplier, carrier or logistics provider selected for the transaction.
AutoScandi is not a carrier, postal operator, freight forwarder, customs broker or warehouse operator.
The Seller is responsible for selecting a suitable delivery service, calculating the delivery cost, packaging the product, dispatching the correct item, complying with transport rules and providing tracking information where available.
The Seller is also responsible for communicating known delivery delays and handling claims with the carrier when the Seller arranged the shipment.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are determined by the Seller, supplier or carrier.
The final delivery price may depend on product weight, dimensions, packaging, destination, delivery speed, insurance, remote-area charges, dangerous-goods requirements, customs documentation and pallet transport.
Where an exact shipping price cannot be calculated automatically, the Seller may provide an individual quotation.
The Buyer must review and accept the shipping price before making payment.
Packaging responsibility
The Seller is responsible for packaging the product appropriately for its weight, size, value and fragility.
Engines, gearboxes, body panels, glass, electronic modules and other sensitive components may require specialist packaging, crates or pallets.
The Seller must comply with carrier requirements for batteries, airbags, liquids, pressurised components, hazardous materials and other regulated products.
AutoScandi does not inspect or approve packaging prepared by independent Sellers.
Dispatch and delivery times
Dispatch and delivery times are supplied by the Seller or carrier and may vary according to availability, payment confirmation, packaging requirements, working days, customs checks and carrier collection schedules.
All dispatch and delivery dates are estimates unless the Seller expressly guarantees a particular date.
AutoScandi does not guarantee any delivery date provided by an independent Seller or carrier.
Buyer delivery information
The Buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate recipient name, delivery address, postal code, telephone number, email address and any information required for customs clearance.
The Buyer must verify all delivery information before making payment.
AutoScandi is not responsible for delays, loss, additional charges or failed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the Buyer.
Address changes
Any delivery address change must be agreed directly with the Seller before dispatch.
A Seller or carrier may refuse to change the address after dispatch for security or operational reasons.
AutoScandi cannot guarantee that an address-change request will be accepted.
Tracking information
Where tracking is available, the Seller should provide the tracking number or shipment reference to the Buyer.
Tracking information is generated and maintained by the relevant carrier.
AutoScandi does not control carrier tracking systems and is not responsible for delayed, inaccurate or incomplete tracking information.
Inspection after delivery
The Buyer must inspect the package and product as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
The Buyer should verify the package condition, product name, part number, quantity, included components and any visible transport damage.
A damaged, incorrect or incomplete product should not be installed, programmed, painted, modified or dismantled before the Seller has been contacted.
Transport damage
If a package or product arrives damaged, the Buyer must notify the Seller and carrier without unreasonable delay.
The Buyer should keep the damaged product, packaging, protective materials, shipping labels, delivery documents and photographs showing the damage.
Where the Seller arranged delivery, the Seller is responsible for handling the claim with the carrier and providing any remedy required by law or the sales contract.
AutoScandi is not responsible for damage caused by an independent Seller, warehouse, carrier or logistics provider.
Lost shipments
A Buyer who believes that a shipment has been lost must contact the Seller.
The Seller is responsible for opening an investigation with the carrier and providing any remedy required by law or the sales contract.
AutoScandi does not independently reimburse Buyers for products lost by an independent carrier.
Incorrect or incomplete products
If the Seller supplies an incorrect product or fails to include an advertised component, the Buyer must contact the Seller promptly and provide reasonable supporting evidence.
The Seller is responsible for providing an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, collection, completion of the shipment, price reduction or refund.
AutoScandi is not responsible for fulfilment errors made by independent Sellers.
Refused or unclaimed delivery
Refusing delivery or failing to collect a shipment does not automatically cancel the sales contract or create an automatic right to a full refund.
Where permitted by law, the Seller may deduct reasonable return shipping, storage, customs or carrier charges caused by an unjustified refusal or failed collection.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
International shipping
International shipments may be subject to export controls, import restrictions, sanctions, customs inspections and local product requirements.
The Seller is responsible for confirming that the product may legally be exported.
The Buyer is responsible for confirming that the product may legally be imported, installed, registered and used in the destination country.
AutoScandi does not guarantee that every product can be imported into or legally used in every country.
Customs duties and import taxes
Unless the Seller expressly states otherwise, the Buyer is responsible for import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees, customs-clearance charges, inspections, storage charges, local taxes and administrative fees.
These charges may be collected by customs authorities, carriers, brokers or other independent parties.
AutoScandi does not determine, collect, control or refund customs charges imposed by independent authorities or service providers.
Customs documentation
The Seller is responsible for providing an accurate commercial invoice, product description, declared value, country of origin and other required export documents.
The Buyer is responsible for providing identification, tax numbers, import licences or other information required by the destination country.
Users must not request false product values, misleading descriptions or unlawful customs declarations.
AutoScandi is not responsible for penalties, seizure, delays or additional charges caused by inaccurate information supplied by a Seller or Buyer.
Restricted transport products
Airbags, batteries, fuel-system components, oils, coolants, pressurised parts, hazardous chemicals, engines, gearboxes, body panels and glass may require specialist transport.
The Seller is responsible for selecting a lawful and appropriate shipping method.
The Buyer must not ask the Seller to misdeclare or unlawfully ship restricted products.
Returns
Returns are handled directly by the Seller according to applicable law, the Seller return policy and the sales contract.
The Buyer must contact the Seller before returning a product and must obtain the correct return address and instructions.
Products must not be returned to AutoScandi unless AutoScandi is expressly identified as the Seller or has issued written return instructions.
AutoScandi does not operate a central returns warehouse for products sold by independent Sellers.
Return shipping
Responsibility for return shipping depends on the reason for the return, the Seller terms and applicable law.
The Seller is responsible for return costs where required by mandatory law.
The Buyer may be responsible for return costs in cases involving ordering errors or certain change-of-mind returns.
AutoScandi does not reimburse return shipping costs for products sold by independent Sellers.
Refunds
All refunds are issued directly by the Seller or supplier that received the Buyer payment.
Because AutoScandi does not receive or hold product payments, AutoScandi cannot independently return money paid directly to an independent Seller.
The Seller is responsible for reviewing refund requests, determining the applicable remedy, issuing approved or legally required refunds and complying with mandatory refund deadlines.
Refund disputes must be directed to the Seller and, where appropriate, the Buyer bank or payment provider.
Bank transfers
When payment is made by bank transfer, the Buyer must confirm that the recipient account belongs to the relevant Seller or supplier.
Bank transfers may provide limited cancellation, reversal or chargeback rights.
AutoScandi does not guarantee recovery of funds sent by bank transfer.
Currency conversion
International payments may be subject to exchange-rate changes, intermediary-bank fees, card-provider fees or currency-conversion charges.
These charges are determined by independent financial institutions.
AutoScandi is not responsible for exchange-rate losses or third-party banking fees unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Delivery disputes
Delivery disputes must first be addressed directly between the Buyer, Seller and relevant carrier.
AutoScandi may provide communication tools or request information from the parties, but this does not make AutoScandi the Seller, carrier, insurer, guarantor or party to the sales contract.
Seller responsibility for claims
The Seller is responsible for responding to claims involving non-delivery, late dispatch, transport damage, incorrect products, missing components, defective products, returns, refunds, warranties and customs documents supplied by the Seller.
Limitation of AutoScandi responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoScandi is not responsible for payments made directly to Sellers, failure to dispatch or deliver products, refusal to issue refunds, Seller insolvency, incorrect payment instructions, inadequate packaging, carrier damage, customs decisions, bank fees or currency-conversion losses.
AutoScandi is also not responsible for diagnostic costs, installation, removal, programming, towing, storage, vehicle downtime, replacement transportation, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business or indirect and consequential losses.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Seller responsibility to AutoScandi
To the maximum extent permitted by law, each commercial Seller is responsible for claims, penalties, losses, damages and reasonable legal expenses arising from the Seller payment instructions, products, packaging, shipping arrangements, customs documents, refund obligations or breach of applicable law.
Mandatory rights
This Shipping and Delivery Policy does not remove rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where any provision conflicts with mandatory law, the mandatory rule applies only to the extent of that conflict.
Changes to this policy
AutoScandi may update this policy to reflect changes in marketplace operations, delivery services, payment arrangements or applicable law.
The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
Contact
