The Forced Performance Evo 8/9 intake pipe is used to connect the factory MAF to the larger 3.25'/84mm Flow Advancement Port inlet on FP Evo 9 turbos. This pipe retains the function of the recirculation BOV and its position on the intake pipe, as well as the factory crankcase vent.

This inlet pipe bulges in the middle to give a larger cross area through the bends and minimize pressure drop. Remember that running unmodified factory airboxes beyond 350 WHP can lead to power reducing levels of vacuum in the inlet air pipe and possibly even damage turbochargers if taken to extreme levels.
